Greetings and best wishes to all members of the academic community, students, and guests visiting the official website of Unsurya. I am, Air Vice Marshal (Ret.) Dr. Sungkono, S.E., M.Si., with great pride and deep gratitude, deliver this welcome message as the Rector of Unsurya.

Unsurya is committed to providing high-quality education in the field of aerospace, as well as playing an active role in the development of science and community service. In addition, we also have several faculties, including the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering and Industry, Aircraft Maintenance Training Organization (AMTO), the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Health Sciences, the Faculty of Computer Science and Design, the Faculty of Economics and Business, and a Postgraduate Program. We place students at the center of our mission, offering a holistic education that is relevant to the demands of the times.

Through this website, we strive to present up-to-date information about our study programs, academic activities, research, and all aspects of campus life. We also hope this website will serve as an interactive platform for communication with students, alumni, and all parties interested in the advancement of our aerospace sciences.

Our History.

1. Awal berdirinya Institut Teknologi Dirgantara (ITD) – 1987–1989

Inisiatif untuk mendirikan lembaga pendidikan tinggi yang berfokus pada bidang kedirgantaraan dimulai pada tahun 1970-an di bawah naungan Tentara Nasional Indonesia (TNI-AU). Pada tahun 1987, Institut Teknologi Dirgantara (ITD) didirikan oleh Yayasan Adi Upaya (YASAU) di bawah bimbingan TNI-AU. ITD menawarkan tiga jurusan: Teknik Logistik Penerbangan, Teknik Penerbangan, dan Teknik Elektro Penerbangan.

2. Transformasi menjadi Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Dirgantara (STTD) – 1989–1998

Pada tanggal 19 Mei 1989, Kementerian Pendidikan secara resmi mendaftarkan institusi tersebut sebagai Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Dirgantara (STTD). Pada Oktober 1998, STTD memperoleh pengakuan akademik penuh, menjadi institusi pendidikan tinggi pertama di Indonesia yang berspesialisasi dalam teknologi kedirgantaraan.

3. Naik Status Universitas – Universitas Suryadarma (1999)

Karena perkembangannya yang sukses, Kementerian menyetujui peningkatan status STTD menjadi universitas berdasarkan Keputusan No. 109/D/O/1999 pada tanggal 24 Juni 1999, dan diberi nama Universitas Suryadarma. Perluasan tersebut mencakup pembentukan fakultas umum seperti Teknik Sipil & Perencanaan, Ekonomi, Hukum, dan Ilmu Sosial & Politik.

4. Pembaruan Penamaan untuk Mencerminkan Identitas – 2016

Pada tahun 2016, melalui Keputusan Menteri Riset, Teknologi & Pendidikan Tinggi No. 147/KPT/I/2016, nama universitas diubah menjadi Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma, dengan menambahkan “Dirgantara” dan “Marsekal” untuk menyoroti identitas kedirgantaraan yang unik dan menghormati tokoh yang namanya diabadikan dalam nama universitas tersebut.

5. Penambahan Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan – 2023

Pada tanggal 5 Juli 2023, Akademi Keperawatan Angkatan Udara (AKPER RSP TNI-AU) diintegrasikan ke dalam universitas, membentuk Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan (FIKES).
